To optimize performance of the CloudBacko and to avoid any conflict with antivirus software, the following processes and directory paths should be added to all antivirus software white-list / exclusion list.

The following processes should be white-listed:

  • bJW.exe
  • cbpsX64.exe - (For x64 Windows)
  • cbpsX86.exe - (For x86 Windows)
  • CBTClusterService.exe - (For Windows 2008/2008R2/2012/2012R2 only)
  • nfsX64.exe - (For x64 Windows)
  • nfsX86.exe - (For x86 Windows)

The following directory path should be white-listed:

CloudBacko Go

  • CloudBacko Go Installation folder (Default: C:\Program Files\CloudBacko Go)
  • CloudBacko Go NFS Service Installation folder - (Default: C:\Program Files\CloudBacko Go NFS)
  • %SystemDrive%\ProgramData\CloudBacko Go
  • %UserProfile%\.obm
  • Backup destination on Local / Mapped Drive / Removable Drive of all backup sets
  • Temporary directory of all backup sets
